CHRISTMAS AT EAST PENREST Our Barn is a wonderful place for Christmas, perfect for friends sharing, or a family get together. There is plenty of space for a large party and the kitchen is equipped with all you could possibly need, including a serving plate big enough for an 18lb turkey, and plenty of wine and champagne glasses. The electric oven comes in handy if you run out of space in the 'Aga' (actualy a Nobel, but very similar). I know because we have used the barn ourselves for 2 Christmases whilst work was carried on in the house. |

The tree in the barn, 1996 |
We provide a real tree, reaching up to the rafters, with lights and decorations. (You will probably want to decorate it yourselves.) We also provide an organic turkey, and home-made mince pies. If you need help in cooking the turkey I will be happy to help. There is a lovely woodburning stove, a 'Clear-View', really easy to light, with a limitless supply of logs and it's wonderful to curl up on the comfortable sofas in front of it, either watching the flames or reading one of the hundreds of books from the shelves that line the walls. If the weather is bad, there is a large wooden chest full of lego, and another full of board games, or come up to our 'covered yard' and help us feed the animals. |

Arrive a few days before Christmas and you will be welcome to come carol singing with us. We can let you know about the churches of different denominations in the area and would be happy to take anyone with us to midnight mass. If you're not church goers we won't disturb you! We are booked for 2002
